What a day – 45 managers from TIVOLI got their heads down and went to work in action learning teams on this years sales and service training.
This year we tried a different approach – no top down lecture from senior management but action learning teams that set their own targets and decided on their own methods:” what would work best with my team.” Each department ended up with a step by step action plan for getting their team ready for the coming season – and the final plan was duly signed of by top managment when the day was over. Good fun – good learning.

. One manager showed his management team as a garden with plants. Each plant has special instructions as to how it is best cared for. Nice metaphor.
Another illustrated the complexity of the task at hand with this collection of sticks – each stick was labled – service, food cost, Guest satisfaction etc – the point was touch one and you affect the others…
